About

Kristen Park is a Korean and Chinese American poet raised in Brooklyn and New Jersey, currently based in Baltimore. Her work appears in The Lake, and she has been recognized by the National YoungArts Foundation and the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.

She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and a minor in Writing Seminars. She has conducted research on personalized 3D digital heart models and large mitochondrial RNA datasets. Her interests lie broadly at the intersection of mathematics, medicine, and the environment.

In her free time, she enjoys photography, riding trains, collecting stickers, journaling, exploring museums, and wandering grocery store aisles and bookstores.
