About

Kristen Park is a Korean and Chinese American poet with roots in Brooklyn, central New Jersey, and Baltimore, whose work explores memory, impermanence, and the remnants people and places leave behind. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Lake, South Florida Poetry Journal, and Glassworks Magazine. She has been recognized by the National YoungArts Foundation and the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.

She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and a minor in Writing Seminars. She has conducted research on personalized 3D digital heart models and currently works on the analysis of large mitochondrial RNA datasets. Her interests lie broadly at the intersection of mathematics, medicine, and the environment.

In her free time, she enjoys photography, riding trains, collecting stickers, journaling, exploring museums, and wandering grocery store aisles and bookstores.
